Job Description
Datavant is a data platform company and the world’s leader in health data exchange. Our vision is that every healthcare decision is powered by the right data, at the right time, in the right format.
Our platform is powered by the largest, most diverse health data network in the U.S., enabling data to be secure, accessible and usable to inform better health decisions. Datavant is trusted by the world’s leading life sciences companies, government agencies, and those who deliver and pay for care.
By joining Datavant today, you’re stepping onto a high-performing, values-driven team. Together, we’re rising to the challenge of tackling some of healthcare’s most complex problems with technology-forward solutions. Datavanters bring a diversity of professional, educational and life experiences to realize our bold vision for healthcare.
The Role
We’re looking for a Senior Product Manager to lead the development of our Matching technology, which powers how Datavant retrieves health records on behalf of requestors like payers, insurers, and attorneys. Matching is the process of taking incoming requestor data and determining which retrieval sources are likely to contain the right records – quickly, accurately, and at scale.
In this role, you’ll work closely with data scientists, engineers, and operations teams to drive improvements in Matching accuracy and efficiency. That includes building feedback loops to learn from retrieval outcomes, identifying data gaps or mismatches, and designing systems that are resilient to noisy or incomplete inputs. You’ll own the Matching roadmap for our Payer vertical, while also shaping the broader strategy and uncovering needs across other verticals and new integrations. This is a highly cross-functional, technical role where you’ll help expand and refine Datavant’s ability to connect the right data to the right request, ultimately enabling more complete, timely, and cost-effective access to health information.
We’re looking for someone energized by the intersection of data architecture, product thinking, and business strategy, and who thrives in ambiguity. You'll play a key role in driving meaningful change by assessing current systems, uncovering areas for improvement, and shaping the underlying logic and workflows that power our products. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in complex, data-rich environments and brings structured product thinking to scalable solution design.
What You'll Bring
- 5+ years of experience in product management, ideally with experience in data, analytics and platform products
- Familiarity with healthcare data, with bonus points for experience in the payer risk adjustment space
- Deep comfort working with engineering and analytics teams to solve ambiguous and complex data challenges
- A systems mindset: you enjoy untangling complexity and designing structures that scale
- Skilled at taking complex topics and communicating them clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Collaborative team player who builds strong relationships and contributes to a supportive, high-performing culture
- A self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset — rolls up sleeves, comfortable with ambiguity, eager to learn, and relentless about execution

Verify Employer Thoroughly
Research the company's identity thoroughly before applying. Check for a professional website with contacts, active social media, and LinkedIn profiles. Verify details across platforms and look for reviews on Glassdoor or Trustpilot to confirm legitimacy.
Never Pay to Get a Job
Legitimate employers never require payment for applications, training, background checks, or equipment. Always reject upfront payment requests or demands for bank details, even if they claim it's for purchasing necessary work gear on your behalf.
Safeguard Your Personal Information
Protect sensitive data like SSN, bank details, or ID copies. Share this only after accepting a formal, written job offer. Ensure it's submitted via a secure company system or portal, never through insecure channels like standard email attachments.
Scrutinize Communication & Interviews
Watch for communication red flags: poor grammar, generic emails (@gmail), vague details, or undue pressure. Be highly suspicious of interviews held only via text or chat apps; legitimate companies typically use video or phone calls.
Beware of Unrealistic Offers
If an offer's salary or benefits seem unrealistically high for the work involved, be cautious. Research standard pay for similar roles. Offers that appear 'too good to be true' are often scams designed to lure you into providing information or payment.
Insist on a Formal Contract
Always secure and review a formal, written job offer or employment contract before starting work or sharing final personal details. Ensure it clearly defines your role, compensation, key terms, and conditions to avoid misunderstandings or scams.
