The Engineering Efficiency team at AuditBoard is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to lead efforts to improve our backend dev tools and processes. You'll use quantitative feedback from engineers across AuditBoard to determine the areas that have the highest need for improvement, and communicate those priorities and roadmap commitments internally. You'll be working with a team of highly skilled engineers with deep expertise on build tools and frontend frameworks (EmberJS), with a mandate to make ambitious changes that improve day-to-day work for all engineering staff.
Key Responsibilities
Monitoring and improving the backend Continuous Integration (CI) workflows.
Optimizing automated test scaffolding using Mocha.
Improving the default dev environment to meet the changing needs of our dev teams.
Create new tools and processes to speed up the software development lifecycle.
Helping to measure vital signs of engineering work and eliminating impediments.
Attributes for a Successful Candidate
Fluent English (B2 - Upper Intermediate).
A development background with experience in Linux, scripting, and tool development.
Experience with CI pipelines using GitHub Actions.
Experience with Grafana and building dashboards to track key metrics.
Experience with test optimization in Mocha.
Experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, and NodeJS.
Knowledge of infrastructure tools: Azure/AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
5+ Years of experience in similar positions.
