Senior Technical SEO Specialist

Our client's growing agency is looking for a passionate Senior Technical SEO Specialist to strengthen their Performance Marketing Team. The ideal candidate will be the driving force behind their technical SEO strategies, enhancing site visibility and search performance for the diverse client portfolio. Key Responsibilities
- Execute in-depth technical SEO audits that deliver clear, actionable insights and recommendations
- Optimize and resolve crawlability issues, refine site architecture, enhance internal linking strategies, and address rendering challenges
- Spearhead website migration projects including domain transfers, platform transitions, and structural reorganizations with minimal organic traffic disruption
- Leverage advanced SEO tools including Google Search Console, Bing Webmaster Tools, SEMrush, and Ahrefs to gather data-driven insights for strategic decision-making
- Partner with development teams to implement technical SEO best practices within website code (JavaScript, HTML, CSS)
- Develop and maintain schema markup/structured data implementations while tracking their impact on search result performance
- Conduct thorough log file analysis to identify crawler patterns and technical performance issues
- Maintain cutting-edge knowledge of search algorithm updates, industry developments, and emerging best practices
- Provide mentorship to junior team members and contribute to the agency's knowledge-sharing culture through training sessions
Qualifications
- 4-6+ years of hands-on technical SEO experience, with agency environment background preferred
- Comprehensive understanding of search engine functionality including crawling, indexing, and rendering processes
- Proven track record working with enterprise-level websites and various e-commerce platforms (Shopify, WordPress, etc.)
- Strong technical knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript from an SEO implementation perspective
- Advanced proficiency with Google Analytics, Search Console, Tag Manager, Looker Studio, and specialized SEO auditing tools
- Expert-level Excel/Google Sheets skills for data analysis and manipulation
- Demonstrated success implementing and scaling SEO strategies across multiple client industries
- Exceptional analytical thinking, problem-solving capabilities, and meticulous attention to detail
Preferred Skills
- Experience optimizing international websites, including hreflang implementation and multi-language SEO strategies
- Practical knowledge of server log analysis platforms and methodologies
- Understanding of Content Delivery Networks (Cloudflare, Akamai, etc.) and their SEO implications
- Basic programming skills in SQL or Python for data extraction and workflow automation
- Professional certifications in Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, or other relevant credentials
