About the Role:
This Specialist, FP&A role will support the Market Finance team—partnering with Sales, Aftersales, Marketing, Communications, and Strategy to deliver insights, support forecasts, and inform decision-making. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys blending relationship-building with analytical problem solving. You’ll translate business activity into financial implications and help business leaders align spending with strategy.
What you’ll do
Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:
Business Partnering & Forecasting:
- Serve as the main point of contact for financial planning across designated business units.
- Build strong relationships with VPs, directors, and their teams to understand operational plans and their financial implications.
- Guide stakeholders through the forecast process and challenge assumptions where necessary to drive accountability and alignment with budget constraints.
- Prepare forecast summaries and communicate expected results to department heads.
- Provide transparency around forecast drivers and maintain consistency across planning cycles.
Financial Modeling:
- Build and maintain models for monthly forecasting, annual budgeting, and long-range strategic planning.
- Develop and refine planning assumptions and cost drivers in collaboration with operational leads.
- Support scenario modeling for major initiatives.
Strategic Insights & Decision Support:
- Analyze financial results to identify performance drivers, trends, and opportunities.
- Recommend actions to address gaps, improve efficiency, and align spending to strategic goals.
- Calculate and interpret KPIs to inform leadership decisions and support business reviews.
Location & Travel Expectations:
- This role may be Remote to start, however, role will be based at a Scout Motors corporate location (to be determined) in mid 2025. The final location will be further discussed and aligned with the successful candidate. This role is not eligible for remote work in New York City.
- Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.

Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
- 4+ years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or related financial analysis role.
Technical Skills:
- Very strong proficiency in Excel with formulas and financial modeling capabilities.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, NetSuite) and planning tools is a plus.
- Exposure to dashboarding or business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a bonus.
Interpersonal & Professional Skills:
- Comfortable communicating with stakeholders at all levels; clear and confident communicator.
- Ability to distill complex financial data into actionable insights for non-financial audiences.
- Highly collaborative, curious, and eager to build trust with business partners.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Pay Transparency
This is a full-time, exempt position eligible to receive a base salary and to participate in an annual performance bonus program. Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.
Initial base salary range = $95,000.00 - $115,000.00
Internal leveling code: IC9
