The Corporate Finance team is responsible for maximizing Pinterest’s long-term value by transforming the overarching company strategy into a long-range plan with annual operational and financial targets while ensuring that strategic initiatives have appropriately allocated funding. As an influential member of the Finance team, you will provide Pinterest’s executive leadership team and Board of Directors with the visibility and insights necessary to make informed decisions needed to scale the company’s growth and reach its financial goals. In doing so, you will build effective relationships outside of Finance and Accounting as trusted business partners with the ability to proactively take action as the business requires.
What you’ll do:
- Work cross functionally to execute the annual, quarterly and monthly planning, reporting and forecasting processes that support Pinterest’s operating model and business objectives. This includes supporting the long-range financial model, annual budget, and quarterly forecasts and financial/operational reviews for senior executives and the Board of Directors.
- Influence decision making across the company with objective and data driven financial and strategic frameworks
- Evaluate the results of past and present financial performance and communicate how this affects future investments to management and stakeholders
- Drive continual process improvements and optimize recurring deliverables to create a “Best in Class” Corporate Finance function
- Lead efforts to evaluate enterprise resource systems and drive future automation enhancements
- Mentor and develop managers, associates and analysts
- Provide thought leadership for the broader finance organization
What we’re looking for:
- 10+ years of experience in corporate or strategic finance, preferably with previous experience in banking or consulting and exposure to high growth technology companies or ad tech industry
- Experience distilling complex analyses into structured frameworks and takeaways
- Exceptional quantitative skills with experience developing and designing financial or operating models
- Ability to work collaboratively to drive challenging and ambiguous projects
- Strong Presentation skills and experience working with executive teams and/or Board of Directors
- Strong team leader with experience developing high visibility teams and talent
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, a related field or equivalent experience
In-Office Requirement Statement:
- We let the type of work you do guide the collaboration style. That means we're not always working in an office, but we continue to gather for key moments of collaboration and connection.
- This role will need to be in the office for in-person collaboration 1-2 times/quarter and therefore can be situated anywhere in the country.
