The Role

The Manager - Product Management will lead a team of Product Managers and will collaborate with the other Trading Product Leads to guide the vision for Trading, OMS, and IBOR products we are building. This includes working with our design team to improve the advisor/trader facing workflows to build engaging experiences for their clients at scale. You will be required to define product vision, set strategy, and lead a cross-functional team in a manner that improves their efficiency and productivity.

Addepar takes a market-based approach to pay. A successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on the role, job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target base salary for roles in Colorado, California, and New York.

The current range for this role is $170,000 - $265,000 (base salary) + bonus + equity + benefits.

What You’ll Do

  • Define, document, and communicate goals for your product and drive an innovative product roadmap that conveys your vision and goals to our clients.
  • Work across Product, Design, Engineering and Quality teams to oversee execution of current and future goals and make decisions to maximize ROI and minimise opportunity cost.
  • Build consensus with the team to prioritize and define increments of work based on level of effort, interdependencies, and other relevant criteria.
  • Adjusting strategy in response to changing company, business, market, and technical needs.
  • Identify appropriate users, partners, competitors, and market trends from which to elicit input and draw inspiration.

Who You Are

  • 5-7+ years of relevant work experience and education in product management, software development, user workflows, and efficiently leading teams.
  • Expertise in finance, trading, and investments, specifically with trading for wealth management firms.
  • Possess a deep understanding of Trading, Rebalancing, and OMS systems used in the wealth management industry. You understand trading products in terms of their users, business value, technical landscape, data, vendors, and can relate these to other areas of the Addepar ecosystem.
  • Expert in trade execution integrations, both in flat file specifications and FIX messaging protocols.
  • Deep understanding of the trade lifecycle and working with various counterparties to execute trades and manage post-trade processing and messaging workflows
  • Experience in data integrations between accounting and trading systems, particularly with custodians and internal and external IBOR systems.
  • Practical knowledge of agile thinking and lean practices; project management, and a strong ability to guide teams through project iterations.
  • A superpower for identifying the appropriate tools, people and techniques to accomplish objectives.
