Staff Product Designer
As a Staff Designer at Ironclad, you’ll shape how legal and business teams interact with contracts—turning complex workflows into clear, cohesive experiences. You’ll work across multiple product areas, balancing strategic vision with hands-on execution, and collaborating closely with design, product and engineering to bring ideas to life. This role is a chance to lead through craft, influence product direction, and help evolve a design system that scales with the platform.
What you'll do
Lead design strategy across multiple product areas by identifying and solving systemic challenges that affect the entire product ecosystem, while establishing scalable design patterns that deliver cohesive experiences throughout the platform.
Shape product direction through close collaboration with leadership, translating insights into strategic recommendations that influence roadmaps and connect design decisions to meaningful business outcomes.
Drive end-to-end execution by translating complex design solutions into clear, detailed specs, and collaborating closely with engineering and product to ensure high-quality, scalable implementation that aligns with user and business goals
Evolve our design practice by enhancing our design system, mentoring fellow designers, and facilitating collaborative problem-solving through workshops and design sprints that elevate quality across the organization.
Champion user needs while orchestrating cross-functional alignment, unifying technical considerations with business goals to drive consensus on complex product decisions.
Be part of a highly collaborative design team where you’ll have the opportunity to own your area of focus while working closely with fellow designers to shape a thoughtful, end-to-end CLM platform.
What you’ll bring
8+ years crafting digital experiences, including significant work on complex B2B or enterprise applications, with a proven track record of leading initiatives that delivered measurable results and influenced product strategy.
Strong systems thinking ability that enables you to create cohesive experiences across interconnected workflows, coupled with experience establishing or evolving design systems that scale effectively.
Leadership presence demonstrated through exceptional storytelling that engages executives and cross-functional partners
Strategic mindset that balances user advocacy with business objectives, supported by successful collaboration with engineering teams on technical implementation

Base Salary Range: $190,000 - $210,000
The base salary range represents the minimum and maximum of the salary range for this position based at our San Francisco headquarters. The actual base salary offered for this position will depend on numerous factors, including individual proficiency, anticipated performance, and the location of the selected candidate. Our base salary is just one component of Ironclad’s competitive total rewards package, which also includes equity awards (a new hire grant, along with opportunities for additional awards throughout your tenure), competitive health and wellness benefits, and a commitment to career growth and development.
