By joining Datavant today, you’re stepping onto a high-performing, values-driven team. Together, we’re rising to the challenge of tackling some of healthcare’s most complex problems with technology-forward solutions. Datavanters bring a diversity of professional, educational and life experiences to realize our bold vision for healthcare.

This role sits within the Strategic Operations team and reports directly to the Director of Strategic Operations. As a trusted partner to the Risk Adjustment COO and broader leadership team, you’ll play a key role in shaping our business strategy, driving cross-functional initiatives, and improving operational efficiency. This is a high-impact opportunity for a strategic thinker who thrives in fast-paced environments and is excited to tackle some of our most complex and important business challenges. You’ll have significant visibility, access to senior decision-makers, and the chance to influence the trajectory of a high-growth company from the inside out.

You Will Be Responsible For:

  • Support business stakeholders with scalable analytic solutions that generate data-driven insights, monitor KPI trends, and conduct root cause analyses.
  • Develop models using internal and external data to inform business strategy, evaluate new initiatives, and support scenario planning.
  • Establish, manage, and present business and financial analyses to guide and track progress against strategic goals and plans.
  • Conduct comprehensive market analysis, competitive intelligence, and industry research to identify emerging trends, risks, and opportunities that inform decision-making.

Strategic Project Execution

  • Provide end-to-end support on strategic projects, including situation analysis, work plan development, data collection, insight generation, and the creation of executive- and client-facing presentations.
  • Monitor the execution of key strategic initiatives by tracking progress, identifying potential risks, and ensuring alignment with organizational priorities.

Program Management & Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Identify opportunities for improving project and program management practices and help foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams across departments to provide analytical insights and ensure that strategic initiatives are effectively executed.

What you will bring to the table:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in Management Consulting, Strategic Planning, Corporate Strategy, or Finance, ideally in a high-growth fast-pace setting
  • Strong analytical skills; able to structure ambiguous problems, analyze complex datasets, and extract actionable insights
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and Google Slides; familiarity with business intelligence or data visualization tools is a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience developing clear, compelling presentations for senior leadership
  • Demonstrated professionalism, empathy, and emotional intelligence in complex or high-stakes situations
  • Strong project management skills; able to manage multiple workstreams and cross-functional stakeholders simultaneously
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of prioritizing effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability for delivering results

Bonus Points If:

  • You have experience in risk adjustment coding applications and technology

Safe Remote Job Search Tips

Verify Employer Thoroughly

Research the company's identity thoroughly before applying. Check for a professional website with contacts, active social media, and LinkedIn profiles. Verify details across platforms and look for reviews on Glassdoor or Trustpilot to confirm legitimacy.

Never Pay to Get a Job

Legitimate employers never require payment for applications, training, background checks, or equipment. Always reject upfront payment requests or demands for bank details, even if they claim it's for purchasing necessary work gear on your behalf.

Safeguard Your Personal Information

Protect sensitive data like SSN, bank details, or ID copies. Share this only after accepting a formal, written job offer. Ensure it's submitted via a secure company system or portal, never through insecure channels like standard email attachments.

Scrutinize Communication & Interviews

Watch for communication red flags: poor grammar, generic emails (@gmail), vague details, or undue pressure. Be highly suspicious of interviews held only via text or chat apps; legitimate companies typically use video or phone calls.

Beware of Unrealistic Offers

If an offer's salary or benefits seem unrealistically high for the work involved, be cautious. Research standard pay for similar roles. Offers that appear 'too good to be true' are often scams designed to lure you into providing information or payment.

Insist on a Formal Contract

Always secure and review a formal, written job offer or employment contract before starting work or sharing final personal details. Ensure it clearly defines your role, compensation, key terms, and conditions to avoid misunderstandings or scams.
