As a Data & Telemetry Architect, you will design and implement end-to-end observability and telemetry solutions that enhance system reliability, traceability, and performance monitoring across cloud and hybrid environments. This role combines hands-on engineering with architectural foresight to ensure that infrastructure and applications are fully instrumented and observable from day one. The expert will leverage leading platforms to deliver actionable insights from logs, metrics, and traces that support real-time troubleshooting, proactive monitoring, and data-driven operations.

This role collaborates closely with infrastructure teams, platform engineers, and application developers to embed telemetry best practices and support resilient, scalable digital platforms.

How your day-to-day work will look like:

  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable telemetry architectures that support distributed applications across multi-cloud (Azure, AWS, GCP) and hybrid cloud environments.
  • Build and optimize observability pipelines using tools like Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, potentially integrating with or leveraging concepts from platforms like Splunk, ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana), Grafana, and OpenTelemetry standards to collect, aggregate, and route data.
  • Develop structured logging and tracing strategies for microservices and distributed systems to support end-to-end visibility and root-cause analysis.
  • Configure data connectors and ingestion pathways to bring logs, metrics, and traces from various sources (including cloud provider native logs, application telemetry, and security tool outputs) into a centralized log aggregation platform, likely utilizing Microsoft Sentinel / Log Analytics workspace.
  • Help implement real-time alerting and dashboards (e.g., using Azure Monitor Workbooks or Sentinel Workbooks) for SRE, DevOps, and development teams to monitor key system health metrics, performance indicators, and security signals.
  • Standardize telemetry data collection across application tiers, containers, VMs, and cloud-native components using open standards where applicable.
  • Partner with development teams to embed observability into the software delivery lifecycle, supporting continuous improvement and faster incident resolution ("shift left").
  • Support log ingestion design, parsing rules, index strategy, and storage optimization for large-scale telemetry systems, balancing visibility needs with cost considerations.
  • Evaluate, integrate, and tune third-party observability platforms and logging agents, e.g. Vector, to enhance data collection capabilities.
  • Conduct telemetry health checks, identify data blind spots, and lead remediation strategies to ensure comprehensive coverage.
  • Collaborate closely with cloud security operations to integrate observability data and insights with tools like Wiz, Microsoft Defender for Cloud, and Microsoft Sentinel, improving unified visibility, contextual risk analysis, and threat hunting capabilities related to system behavior.
  • Champion the automation of observability configurations and policy enforcement using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and ARM templates.
  • Provide documentation, training, and support for internal teams on telemetry use cases and dashboards.
  • Ensure observability solutions meet relevant regulatory and compliance requirements by providing necessary audit trails and reporting capabilities.

This would make you the ideal candidate:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ Years of experience designing, implementing, and managing complex observability and telemetry solutions in enterprise cloud environments.
  • 3+ Years of hands-on experience with Azure Monitor and Log Analytics, including building and optimizing observability pipelines.
  • 3+ Years of hands-on experience in writing and optimizing complex queries with Kusto Query Language (KQL) for analysis, alerting, and reporting.
  • 3+ Years of experience with logging and monitoring services across multiple cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP).
  • 2+ Years of proven experience using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, specifically Terraform or ARM templates, to automate deployment and configuration of observability resources.
  • +2 Years of experience with Python, particularly scripting, automation and configuring data pipelines.
  • 2+ Years of experience developing structured logging, tracing, and monitoring strategies for distributed systems and microservices.
  • Proven experience building and maintaining dashboards and visualizations for SRE, DevOps, and security teams (e.g., Azure Monitor Workbooks, Sentinel Workbooks, Grafana).
  • Experience with scripting and automation for data pipeline configuration using languages like Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
  • Hands-on experience configuring data collection agents (e.g., Azure Monitor Agent, Vector), diagnostic settings, and ingestion pipelines.
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and integration of monitoring and security checks ("shift-left" principles).
  • Knowledge of integrating observability data with security tools such as Microsoft Sentinel, Wiz, or Microsoft Defender for Cloud.
  • Advanced English Level is required for this role as you will work with US clients. Effective communication in English is essential to deliver the best solutions to our clients and expand your horizons.

Safe Remote Job Search Tips

Verify Employer Thoroughly

Research the company's identity thoroughly before applying. Check for a professional website with contacts, active social media, and LinkedIn profiles. Verify details across platforms and look for reviews on Glassdoor or Trustpilot to confirm legitimacy.

Never Pay to Get a Job

Legitimate employers never require payment for applications, training, background checks, or equipment. Always reject upfront payment requests or demands for bank details, even if they claim it's for purchasing necessary work gear on your behalf.

Safeguard Your Personal Information

Protect sensitive data like SSN, bank details, or ID copies. Share this only after accepting a formal, written job offer. Ensure it's submitted via a secure company system or portal, never through insecure channels like standard email attachments.

Scrutinize Communication & Interviews

Watch for communication red flags: poor grammar, generic emails (@gmail), vague details, or undue pressure. Be highly suspicious of interviews held only via text or chat apps; legitimate companies typically use video or phone calls.

Beware of Unrealistic Offers

If an offer's salary or benefits seem unrealistically high for the work involved, be cautious. Research standard pay for similar roles. Offers that appear 'too good to be true' are often scams designed to lure you into providing information or payment.

Insist on a Formal Contract

Always secure and review a formal, written job offer or employment contract before starting work or sharing final personal details. Ensure it clearly defines your role, compensation, key terms, and conditions to avoid misunderstandings or scams.
