About Reserv

Reserv is an insurtech creating and incubating cutting-edge AI and automation technology to bring efficiency and simplicity to claims. Founded by insurtech veterans with deep experience in SaaS and digital claims, Reserv is venture-backed by Bain Capital and Altai Ventures and began operations in May 2022. We are focused on automating highly manual tasks to tackle long-standing problems in claims and set a new standard for TPAs, insurance technology providers, and adjusters alike.

We have ambitious (but attainable!) goals and need adjusters who can work in an evolving environment. If building a leading TPA and the prospect of tackling the long-standing challenges of the claims role sounds exciting, we can’t wait to meet you.

About the role

As an Account Manager at Reserv, you will play a critical role in managing and strengthening client relationships, ensuring satisfaction, and driving long-term growth. You will be the main point of contact for our clients, serving as their ongoing support and acting as their trusted advisor and advocate. Your deep understanding of our technology-driven insurance solutions will help you provide strategic insights and recommendations, aligning our services with the client’s business needs.

Who you are

  • Client-focused: You have a passion for delivering outstanding customer service and building long-term relationships.
  • Tech-savvy: You are comfortable with digital platforms and can quickly learn new tools and technologies.
  • Insurance knowledge: You have a solid understanding of the insurance industry or are eager to learn its nuances.
  • Strong communicator: You possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, making complex ideas simple for clients.
  • Proactive problem-solver: You anticipate client needs and address issues before they become problems.
  • Organized multitasker: You excel at managing multiple accounts and priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Results-driven: You are focused on achieving goals, from customer satisfaction to upselling and retention.

What we need

We need you to do all the things typical to the role:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers in the insurance industry
  • Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell existing clients with additional products and services
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding their business objectives and providing strategic insights to help them achieve their goals
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including Sales, Operations, and Product, to ensure the successful delivery of client projects and initiatives
  • Conduct regular account reviews and provide clients with performance reports
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and developments, sharing insights with clients and internal teams
  • Handle customer complaints and inquiries, ensuring prompt and satisfactory resolution

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in an account management or customer success role in the insurance industry
  • Experience working with complex projects and multiple stakeholders
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with clients
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and clients to achieve common goals.

Benefits

  • Generous health-insurance package with nationwide coverage, vision, & dental
  • 401(k) retirement plan with employer matching
  • Competitive PTO policy – we want our employees fresh, healthy, happy, and energized!
  • Generous family leave policy
  • Apple laptop, large second monitor, and other quality-of-life equipment you may want. Technology is something that should make your life easier, not harder!

At Reserv, we value diversity in backgrounds, perspectives, and life experiences and believe that diversity in viewpoints and critical thinking drives innovation, first-principles thinking, and success. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and encourage those from all walks of life to apply. If you believe you are a good fit for this role, we would love to hear from you!

Safe Remote Job Search Tips

Verify Employer Thoroughly

Research the company's identity thoroughly before applying. Check for a professional website with contacts, active social media, and LinkedIn profiles. Verify details across platforms and look for reviews on Glassdoor or Trustpilot to confirm legitimacy.

Never Pay to Get a Job

Legitimate employers never require payment for applications, training, background checks, or equipment. Always reject upfront payment requests or demands for bank details, even if they claim it's for purchasing necessary work gear on your behalf.

Safeguard Your Personal Information

Protect sensitive data like SSN, bank details, or ID copies. Share this only after accepting a formal, written job offer. Ensure it's submitted via a secure company system or portal, never through insecure channels like standard email attachments.

Scrutinize Communication & Interviews

Watch for communication red flags: poor grammar, generic emails (@gmail), vague details, or undue pressure. Be highly suspicious of interviews held only via text or chat apps; legitimate companies typically use video or phone calls.

Beware of Unrealistic Offers

If an offer's salary or benefits seem unrealistically high for the work involved, be cautious. Research standard pay for similar roles. Offers that appear 'too good to be true' are often scams designed to lure you into providing information or payment.

Insist on a Formal Contract

Always secure and review a formal, written job offer or employment contract before starting work or sharing final personal details. Ensure it clearly defines your role, compensation, key terms, and conditions to avoid misunderstandings or scams.
