About the Role

The Career Pathways Manager plays a critical role in Roo’s mission to connect veterinary professionals with meaningful employment opportunities. This role supports the execution of our full-time placement operations, ensuring a smooth, efficient, and high-quality experience for both veterinary professionals and hospital partners.

As the Career Pathways Manager, you’ll oversee the candidate journey, coordinate internal workflows, and partner cross-functionally to enhance the end-to-end placement process. This is a highly collaborative role, ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, proactive, and passionate about supporting professionals in the veterinary field.

You will report directly to the Senior Manager, Career Pathways and work closely with Account Managers, hospital partners, enterprise clients, and the cross-functional Full-Time Placement (FTP) squad.

What You’ll Do

Candidate Coordination & Support

Guide veterinarians and technicians through the full-time placement process, from interest to offer.Maintain clear, consistent communication with candidates to ensure a supportive and personalized experience.Collect, organize, and share candidate materials (e.g., resumes, references) with hospitals in alignment with Roo standards.

Hospital & Internal Partner Collaboration

Work closely with VetAM, HSP, and Enterprise to ensure hospitals are matched with the right veterinary professionals.Track hiring needs and placement opportunities to inform pipeline development.Collaborate with the Senior Manager and cross-functional squad to identify placement opportunities and proactively flag risks.

Process Execution & Improvement

Follow and uphold Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) developed by the senior manager and FTP squad.Identify workflow gaps or bottlenecks and suggest process improvements.Support testing and rollout of new tools or processes aimed at improving efficiency and experience.

Tracking & Reporting

Keep candidate and placement records up-to-date in HubSpot and other systems. Assist with data entry and report generation to support internal visibility and forecasting.Monitor milestones and timelines for placements to ensure timely progress and stakeholder communication.

Billing & Administrative Support

Coordinate with finance to ensure accurate billing for completed placements. Help resolve billing-related issues by liaising between internal teams and hospital partners.

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources or a related field.
  • Proven experience coordinating permanent placements on Roo or a similar platform.
  • Demonstrated track record with relationship management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems, ticketing systems and other common SaaS tools (Hubspot, Zendesk or similar).
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and data integrity.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Certification in revenue operations or relevant fields is a plus.

While we are a remote first company, if you are based in San Francisco this will be a hybrid role. Please see below for examples of compensation ranges based on state averages and note there will be a 20% bonus in addition to the base salary.
