Our Role

As Ada’s FP&A Manager, you will report to the Senior Strategic Finance Manager and act as a senior individual contributor with high ownership across key forecasting and reporting processes. You will lead department-level budgeting, support company-wide forecasting, and develop financial analyses that drive business performance. In this role, you’ll collaborate cross-functionally to connect financial and operational data, producing insights that inform strategic decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting & Metrics: Build, maintain, and improve key financial reports and metrics, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery.
  • Department Budget Ownership: Lead the operating expense and headcount forecasting process for select departments, including annual budget creation, monthly variance analysis, and ad hoc financial reviews.
  • Forecasting & Modeling: Support the development of the annual budget and rolling forecasts. Maintain and enhance the three-statement financial forecast model to guide strategic planning and assess performance.
  • Month-End Close Partnership: Collaborate with the Accounting team to ensure a smooth and timely close process. Align actuals with forecasted data and identify key variances.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with teams across the organization to integrate financial and non-financial data into actionable insights and strategic reporting.Work closely with senior leadership to ensure alignment of financial goals with business strategies.
  • Board & Executive Materials: Assist in preparing board and leadership materials, ensuring data accuracy and helping craft a clear, cohesive narrative on business performance.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance FP&A processes through automation, AI tools, and workflow optimization to improve accuracy and efficiency.
  • Strategic & Ad Hoc Analysis: Provide data-driven insights to support company initiatives, business cases, and leadership decision-making.

About You

  • 5+ years of experience in FP&A, strategic finance, or a related field (e.g., financial consulting, investment banking).
  • Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills, with experience analyzing data sets and building financial models.
  • Strong attention to detail and foundational knowledge of accounting principles.
  • Strong business partnering experience, with the ability to connect financial data to business strategies and communicate insights effectively to senior leadership.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to connect financial data to business narratives.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and a strong desire to learn.

Nice to Have

  • Currently holding (or pursuing towards) CPA, CFA, or MBA designation
  • Prior experience in a high-growth startup, particularly in SaaS
  • Familiarity with financial planning and accounting software (Netsuite or similar)
  • Experience working with CRMs and BI tools (Salesforce, Looker)

The expected salary range for this position is $115,000 - $145,000. Actual pay will be determined based on several factors such as past experience and qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
