Role Overview
As a Product Manager, Risk Adjustment Coding Data Integration, you will own the data strategy and execution for Datavant’s Retrospective Risk Adjustment Coding products, driving client data standardization, data integrations, database management, and optimization within business verticals for downstream use. You will help standardize data specifications, further Datavant's ability to ingest different data types and streamline the process to ingest both structured and unstructured data.
You will also support scalable, reliable, and performant project data ingestion pipelines and maintain databases that support specific product services, while providing end to end visibility into these pipelines and databases.
The ideal candidate combines deep healthcare data expertise with strong product management skills, and thrives at the intersection of product, data integration, engineering, and operations.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy
- Own and evolve the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Data Integration pod within the Retrospective Risk Adjustment Coding Product Suite
- Execution & Delivery
- Client Data Management: Oversee secure and compliant onboarding and management of client data for MA, ACA, and Medicaid plans, ensuring HIPAA and CMS compliance
Standard Data Specifications: Develop and maintain standardized data specifications for Retrospective Coding ProductsData Type Additions: Prioritize new data types to enhance AI-driven coding accuracyData Integration
- Lead efforts in collaboration with the Retrieval Product team to streamline chart access for Retrospective Coding Products.
- Build standard APIs and UIs to improve retrieval integration with a possibility of creating an SDK for external client access
- Manage data ingestion for projects where we receive data directly from clients (i.e., code-only projects)
Data Optimization
- Optimize structured data ingestion pipelines and automate data pipelines for performance, reducing latency and improving speed
- Convert ingested data into a format supported by Datavant’s Common Document Repository (CDR)
Infrastructure Standards, Visibility & Compliance
- Work with infrastructure limits to promote scalability (project size limits, chart size limits, prediction count limits)
- Enable end-to-end visibility into data pipelines, providing the ability to proactively intervene and provide traceability
- Maintain databases / data stores that support specific product services and provide visibility into these databases
- Ensure scalability, performance and reliability
Stakeholder engagement
- Collaborate with Datavant’s Retrieval and Client Success team to address diverse client needs
- Drive adoption of data specifications to improve the client experience
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Product Execution
- Timeliness of feature delivery and roadmap execution
- Reduction in time taken to create and operationalise coding projects
- Maintenance of compliance with infrastructure limits and no security incidents
Client Experience
- Client feedback on data onboarding process and timelines
- Adoption of standard data specifications across customer base
- Number of support issues or custom requests related to data issues
Data Standards
- Integration of new data types
- Data accuracy (upstream validation of data quality)
- Database uptime/availability
- Optimized query response time (i.e. average time taken to execute database queries)
- Reduction in records with errors
About You
- Experience: 5+ years in product management or data product roles, ideally within healthcare. Must possess strong knowledge of product development practices and SDLC
- Domain Expertise: Well-versed in the key underlying healthcare data sources that support risk adjustment coding, including standards such as HL7, FHIR, CMS files, etc.
- Cross-Functional Partner: Experience collaborating with Data Science, Engineering, Data Integrations, Machine Learning / Infrastructure, and Client teams to develop solutions
- Execution-Oriented: Comfortable owning complex problems and delivering results in fast-paced, ambiguous environment
