Who we are

About the role
We’re looking for a Senior Lifecycle Marketing Strategist to help Typeform turn retention into a growth engine. While we’ve laid strong foundations with email campaigns and onboarding flows, we’re missing a dedicated owner to systematically reduce churn and expand customer value.
In this role, you’ll design and run behavior-driven lifecycle campaigns that re-engage at-risk users, deepen product adoption, and unlock expansion opportunities. You’ll own churn segmentation models, map user journeys, launch targeted interventions across email and in-app, and run experiments to uncover what truly keeps our customers engaged.
In the short term, your focus will be on standing up a churn reduction strategy with quick wins in re-engagement and win-back flows. Over time, you’ll expand into predictive, cross-channel lifecycle orchestration—proactively influencing how we retain and grow our user base.
This is a role for a strategist who can balance big-picture thinking with hands-on execution, and who’s motivated by making an immediate, measurable impact on revenue and customer health.
About the team
The Lifecycle Marketing team ensures our users receive the right message at the right time, helping them realize the full value of Typeform. We span acquisition, retention, and expansion—designing experiences that drive engagement, revenue growth, and loyalty.
Where we’re strong today:
- Acquisition: Established campaigns that bring in new users and convert them into paying customers.
- Email: Core lifecycle flows are in place, managed in Iterable, with proven performance.
- Cross-functional partnerships: Strong working relationships with Product, Data, and PMM.
Where you’ll focus:
- Retention & churn reduction: We’ve identified early churn signals, but need systematic, scalable journeys to address them.
- Expansion: While acquisition is strong, we’re still early in building structured programs to deepen customer value.
- Experimentation: There’s no dedicated roadmap for testing churn interventions—this is yours to build.
What you’ll do
- Build a churn reduction strategy: Partner with Data to define churn risk models and segment users by risk level.
- Launch re-engagement journeys: Design, test, and optimize campaigns that proactively address churn at key lifecycle stages (onboarding, activation dip, renewal).
- Develop win-back flows: Create targeted campaigns to re-engage churned users and address cancellation drivers.
- Run experiments: Establish an experimentation roadmap across email, in-app, and embedded messaging to test reactivation and value reinforcement tactics.
- Enhance automation & targeting: Improve workflows, targeting logic, and personalization within Iterable and other lifecycle tools.
- Measure & report impact: Define KPIs for churn reduction, monitor performance, and share insights that shape retention and product strategies.
- Partner across teams: Work with Product, PMM, Content, and Data to align messaging with user behavior and business priorities.
What you bring
- Proven experience running lifecycle or retention marketing programs in B2B SaaS or product-led growth environments.
- Strong understanding of segmentation, churn analysis, and behavior-based targeting.
- Hands-on expertise with lifecycle marketing tools (e.g., Iterable) and in-product messaging platforms.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to turn data into actionable strategies.
- Collaborative and proactive—skilled at working across teams and influencing roadmaps.
- Comfortable executing tactical campaigns while shaping long-term strategy.
Extra awesome if you have
- Built churn reduction or win-back programs from scratch.
- Experience using predictive models or advanced segmentation for retention.
- Familiarity with experimentation frameworks and lifecycle metrics.

Verify Employer Thoroughly
Research the company's identity thoroughly before applying. Check for a professional website with contacts, active social media, and LinkedIn profiles. Verify details across platforms and look for reviews on Glassdoor or Trustpilot to confirm legitimacy.
Never Pay to Get a Job
Legitimate employers never require payment for applications, training, background checks, or equipment. Always reject upfront payment requests or demands for bank details, even if they claim it's for purchasing necessary work gear on your behalf.
Safeguard Your Personal Information
Protect sensitive data like SSN, bank details, or ID copies. Share this only after accepting a formal, written job offer. Ensure it's submitted via a secure company system or portal, never through insecure channels like standard email attachments.
Scrutinize Communication & Interviews
Watch for communication red flags: poor grammar, generic emails (@gmail), vague details, or undue pressure. Be highly suspicious of interviews held only via text or chat apps; legitimate companies typically use video or phone calls.
Beware of Unrealistic Offers
If an offer's salary or benefits seem unrealistically high for the work involved, be cautious. Research standard pay for similar roles. Offers that appear 'too good to be true' are often scams designed to lure you into providing information or payment.
Insist on a Formal Contract
Always secure and review a formal, written job offer or employment contract before starting work or sharing final personal details. Ensure it clearly defines your role, compensation, key terms, and conditions to avoid misunderstandings or scams.
