About Private Health Management

Private Health Management (PHM), a clinically sophisticated healthcare navigation firm, specializes in assisting clients in obtaining the best care and outcomes when facing serious and complex medical conditions. Individuals and businesses who make health a priority rely on PHM to achieve the best of what's possible in medicine. We believe everyone should benefit from the latest science-backed insights, have access to the best diagnostics, specialists, and treatments, and receive independent guidance to make informed health decisions with confidence.

About the role:

As a Strategic Account Manager, you’ll help develop and deliver market shaping services for employers who aspire to deliver better care for their employees who’ve been diagnosed with serious or complex health conditions. You’ll help PHM clients understand and address the burden of complex conditions, like cancer, on their employees and business. This includes assessing the effectiveness of current programs, analyzing utilization, understanding each client’s health plan and broader benefits strategy, and advising clients on how to adopt PHM programs designed to improve clinical outcomes while managing costs. To do this, you’ll partner closely with our sales, marketing and clinical teams to bring the best of PHM to our clients.

What You’ll Accomplish

  • Serve as the strategic partner and trusted advisor to corporate clients; this includes:
    • Providing ongoing reporting to corporate clients demonstrating the value of PHM services for their population
    • Partner with sales and clinical resources to drive continued engagement with the employer and to further our relationships – building deeper relationships with existing client contacts along with expansion of relationships across the organization
    • Drive member engagement in our services through strategic engagement strategies and potential integrations within any given client’s benefit ecosystem
  • Materially grow Health Solutions revenue through:
    • Serving as the PHM expert in new client pursuits
    • Identifying opportunities to expand services to our existing clients

What you bring to the table

  • Bachelor’s degree & 5+ years of success growing and managing complex client relationships with an emphasis on prior health and employee benefits plan experience
  • Proven success establishing yourself as a trusted advisor to clients across all levels of an organization on complex new initiatives
  • Exceptional executive presence, collaboration and written and oral communication skills
  • High technology literacy
  • Availability and ability to travel regularly

Safe Remote Job Search Tips

Verify Employer Thoroughly

Research the company's identity thoroughly before applying. Check for a professional website with contacts, active social media, and LinkedIn profiles. Verify details across platforms and look for reviews on Glassdoor or Trustpilot to confirm legitimacy.

Never Pay to Get a Job

Legitimate employers never require payment for applications, training, background checks, or equipment. Always reject upfront payment requests or demands for bank details, even if they claim it's for purchasing necessary work gear on your behalf.

Safeguard Your Personal Information

Protect sensitive data like SSN, bank details, or ID copies. Share this only after accepting a formal, written job offer. Ensure it's submitted via a secure company system or portal, never through insecure channels like standard email attachments.

Scrutinize Communication & Interviews

Watch for communication red flags: poor grammar, generic emails (@gmail), vague details, or undue pressure. Be highly suspicious of interviews held only via text or chat apps; legitimate companies typically use video or phone calls.

Beware of Unrealistic Offers

If an offer's salary or benefits seem unrealistically high for the work involved, be cautious. Research standard pay for similar roles. Offers that appear 'too good to be true' are often scams designed to lure you into providing information or payment.

Insist on a Formal Contract

Always secure and review a formal, written job offer or employment contract before starting work or sharing final personal details. Ensure it clearly defines your role, compensation, key terms, and conditions to avoid misunderstandings or scams.
