Job Description

The EHR Technical Director will lead the development and support of the EHR solutions and services for our Life Sciences customers. EHR solutions are things like step-by-step guides to help a healthcare provider or EHR team member optimize the EHR . They are created using internal subject matter experts and external consultants. Examples of EHR solutions include, but are not limited to, order set optimization, clinical decision support alerts guides, and reporting solutions. EHR Services are things like training and consulting services - helping life science companies better understand how the EHR is driving HCP behavior

Essential functions of the job include but are not limited to:

  • Leads and contributes to the team that develops EHR solutions.
  • Engages with Life Sciences customers in Marketing, Market Access and Brand roles to help determine EHR strategy and solutions.
  • Leads EHR consulting support to Life Sciences customers.
    • Support is provided for EHR solutions and mostly consists of providing implementation training and first-line support.
  • Leads EHR training for Life Sciences customers.
  • Contributes to creating the training curriculum and oversees development and delivery of EHR training (which needs to be available at different skill levels).
  • Develops and consults on EHR strategies to our Life Sciences customers.
  • Identifies consultants, onboarding and management of consulting services.
  • Manages a network of external subject matter (SME) consultants, who have deep EHR expertise in a specific EHR platform. The EHR Technical Director
  • Act as a technical expert on appropriate EHR and Health IT strategies to internal Precision stakeholders.
  • Identify and develop EHR market shaping opportunities between Precision and EHR and Health IT providers, vendors, and consultants.
  • Provides updates and reports to the EHR Lead
  • Provides coaching, training and management of a team of EHR experts.

Qualifications

Minimum Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 10+ years of experience in working with EHRs, ideally a mix of health systems and Life Sciences professional experience
  • Robust EHR experience to provide future EHR solutions and services

Preferred:

  • EHR Experience in general medicine and oncology
  • Knowledge of ambulatory and acute EHR solutions

Skills:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with strong written and verbal presentation
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to influence leaders across functions and companies
  • Proven ability to take ownership and lead multiple engagements with minimal oversight
  • Ability to synthesize complex concepts into understandable and actionable solutions

This compensation range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to: skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Precision, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. This role is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, health insurance, retirement savings benefits, life insurance and disability benefits, parental leave, and paid time off for sick leave and vacation, among other benefits.
