Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer, you will be a critical member of the R&D leadership team and a key thought partner to executives across the company.

The role will oversee product teams across multiple domains, including investment data, reporting, workflows, advisor tools, platform infrastructure, and new product innovation. You will ensure that the organization is structured for scale, processes are built for clarity and execution, and product strategy is deeply aligned with business outcomes.

Addepar takes a market-based approach to pay. A successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on the role, job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target base salary for roles in Colorado, California, and New York.

The current range for this role is $250,000 - $350,000 (base salary) + bonus + equity + benefits.

Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process. Additionally, these ranges reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, equity, or benefits.

What You’ll Do

  • Vision & Strategy: Continuously evolve a compelling multi-year product vision aligned with Addepar’s mission and growth strategy.
  • Drive Product Excellence: Establish scalable processes for product planning, roadmapping, and metrics-driven execution.
  • Own the Product Lifecycle: Manage products from concept to MVP to scaled solution, driving toward product-market fit with rigor and agility.

Innovation: Foster a culture of continuous innovation by driving ideation from initial concept through MVP and onto scalable solutions

  • Center on the Client: Embed client research and validation into the product development lifecycle to ensure solutions deliver measurable value.
  • Partner Across Functions: Work closely with Engineering, Design, and Data teams to deliver platform-centric and highly integrated solutions. Align with Go-to-Market teams (Marketing, Sales, and Client Success) to launch and commercialize new offerings.
Build the Org: Assess and refine the product org structure, career paths, and leadership layer to support scale and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Develop Talent: Mentor and develop high-performing product managers and leaders, and foster a product culture of accountability, clarity, and ownership.
  • Ensure Market Fit: Stay ahead of industry trends in wealth, asset, and investment management; evolve product direction accordingly.
  • Platform Thinking: Lead with a platform mindset—balancing horizontal scalability with vertical client value.

Who You Are

  • Proven track record of end-to-end product ownership, from zero-to-one to scaled adoption, with strong attention to achieving product-market fit.
  • Grounded in customer-centric development, integrating user research and validation into product decisions.
  • Deeply fluent in financial systems, with experience in portfolio management, investor workflows, or trading systems. Experience in enterprise fintech, B2B2C platforms, or advisor tools is a plus.
  • Skilled at technical collaboration—comfortable working with engineering and data teams on platform and infrastructure investments.
  • Experienced in go-to-market alignment, partnering closely with commercial teams to launch and scale products successfully.
  • Adept at aligning product strategy to business outcomes—especially around growth, compliance, client retention, and revenue impact.
  • Experienced in building and scaling product organizations, particularly in high-growth or complex environments.
  • A strong people leader with a track record of mentoring talent, creating clarity, and building an empowered, collaborative culture.

Safe Remote Job Search Tips

Verify Employer Thoroughly

Research the company's identity thoroughly before applying. Check for a professional website with contacts, active social media, and LinkedIn profiles. Verify details across platforms and look for reviews on Glassdoor or Trustpilot to confirm legitimacy.

Never Pay to Get a Job

Legitimate employers never require payment for applications, training, background checks, or equipment. Always reject upfront payment requests or demands for bank details, even if they claim it's for purchasing necessary work gear on your behalf.

Safeguard Your Personal Information

Protect sensitive data like SSN, bank details, or ID copies. Share this only after accepting a formal, written job offer. Ensure it's submitted via a secure company system or portal, never through insecure channels like standard email attachments.

Scrutinize Communication & Interviews

Watch for communication red flags: poor grammar, generic emails (@gmail), vague details, or undue pressure. Be highly suspicious of interviews held only via text or chat apps; legitimate companies typically use video or phone calls.

Beware of Unrealistic Offers

If an offer's salary or benefits seem unrealistically high for the work involved, be cautious. Research standard pay for similar roles. Offers that appear 'too good to be true' are often scams designed to lure you into providing information or payment.

Insist on a Formal Contract

Always secure and review a formal, written job offer or employment contract before starting work or sharing final personal details. Ensure it clearly defines your role, compensation, key terms, and conditions to avoid misunderstandings or scams.
