Job Description

We are looking for a Field Marketing Manager with a strategic sense of events as living campaigns to join our Rockbot marketing team. In this role, you will influence, strategize, and execute one of the core primary channels to drive Rockbot’s awareness and preference in the industry. Reporting to the Director of Growth Marketing, you will be a critical part of our demand generation strategy as we continue to expand our brand awareness and favorability in real-world settings.

In a way, this role is the living embodiment of what Rockbot’s brand promise is to our customers - creating exceptional, impactful, revenue-driving digital experiences in a physical, living environment.

You’ll be responsible for not only the standard event logistics but also for identifying imaginative opportunities for us to engage with our customers and prospects alike. This is a highly collaborative, cross-functional role with the opportunity to work closely with Marketing, Product, Sales, and our Customer teams to ensure a rock-solid, energizing, and pitch-perfect event experience.

The Rockbot team is committed to creating uniquely qualified brand opportunities by changing the way content is experienced in businesses of every size and shape. We are technologists, music lovers, and content creators all focused on producing the most amazing customer experience possible - and we’re having a great time doing it! If this sounds compelling, let’s talk.

You will:

  • Own the end-to-end event strategy and execution for Rockbot’s industry and partner event program
  • Generate creative new ideas for events of all sizes, from intimate dinners to full-scale conferences and virtual events, bringing them to life with thoughtfulness and attention to detail. Help us imagine field marketing experiences we don’t even know are possible… yet
  • Track pipeline and revenue impact, report results and learnings clearly, and use those insights to sharpen our event strategy over time
  • Communicate like a boss, training and coaching booth staff on the best way to be “on stage” at an event to maximize lead generation and traction
  • Collaborate with creative and content teammates to create bold, engaging event assets and experiences that amplify Rockbot’s brand and stature.
  • Be an on-site brand ambassador for Rockbot’s products and personas, leaning into Rockbot’s mission of creating outstanding experiential brand environments
  • Master the competitive landscape and know how we excel in comparison… and listen for tidbits of competitive intel from every conversation you have

You have:

  • >5 years of event management experience for technology companies (B2B SaaS marketing, subscription-based models, and/or streaming media experience preferred) with a strong grasp of how events drive demand across the funnel.
  • You’ve got the mind of a theater director - You envision trade shows as the stage for the company’s performance, considering every interaction and opportunity to establish meaningful relationships with our customers and partners
  • You’re wired as a strategic marketer - intensely focused on the business value of each event, and with the ability to incept an end-to-end campaign of which the trade show floor is just the beginning.
  • You’re a creative force to be reckoned with! You’ve led or played a key role in teams that juggle major industry events, user conferences, identifying key speaking opportunities, and you know what it takes to make a brand stand out. With chops in email marketing and funnel data that help you bring it all together, your creativity is limitless.
  • You’re a natural project manager who loves thinking big and getting your hands dirty. You’re organized, proactive, and known for your problem-solving skills (especially in live crisis situations!). You identify challenges and opportunities to make the field marketing program as visionary as Rockbot itself.

Other job responsibilities:

  • Labor: Ability to lift 50 lbs., climb small ladders, and use basic hand tools to erect, test, and inspect trade show equipment.
  • A/V: Basic knowledge of A/V connection and troubleshooting.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and travel as required by schedules.

Safe Remote Job Search Tips

Verify Employer Thoroughly

Research the company's identity thoroughly before applying. Check for a professional website with contacts, active social media, and LinkedIn profiles. Verify details across platforms and look for reviews on Glassdoor or Trustpilot to confirm legitimacy.

Never Pay to Get a Job

Legitimate employers never require payment for applications, training, background checks, or equipment. Always reject upfront payment requests or demands for bank details, even if they claim it's for purchasing necessary work gear on your behalf.

Safeguard Your Personal Information

Protect sensitive data like SSN, bank details, or ID copies. Share this only after accepting a formal, written job offer. Ensure it's submitted via a secure company system or portal, never through insecure channels like standard email attachments.

Scrutinize Communication & Interviews

Watch for communication red flags: poor grammar, generic emails (@gmail), vague details, or undue pressure. Be highly suspicious of interviews held only via text or chat apps; legitimate companies typically use video or phone calls.

Beware of Unrealistic Offers

If an offer's salary or benefits seem unrealistically high for the work involved, be cautious. Research standard pay for similar roles. Offers that appear 'too good to be true' are often scams designed to lure you into providing information or payment.

Insist on a Formal Contract

Always secure and review a formal, written job offer or employment contract before starting work or sharing final personal details. Ensure it clearly defines your role, compensation, key terms, and conditions to avoid misunderstandings or scams.
