Responsibilities include managing full-funnel campaigns, conducting data analysis, and establishing partnerships with agencies and influencers. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in digital marketing, lifecycle and email marketing, PR, and familiarity with AI-powered marketing solutions, with a strong passion for data privacy.

The Role
As Optery’s first Head of B2C Marketing, you’ll define and scale our consumer‑facing growth engine. The title of this role is flexible, and could also be VP, Marketing (B2C) or Director of Marketing (B2C), depending on experience. Reporting to the CEO, you’ll build and manage a world‑class marketing operation owning the strategy, execution, and performance across influencer, affiliate, social, paid media, lifecycle, PR, and email. You’ll shape the roadmap, hire team members, and deliver results that move the needle on acquisition, engagement, retention, and brand awareness.

Areas of Responsibility
Team Leadership: Build and lead the marketing function, including future marketing hires. Hire, mentor, and grow a high‑performing B2C marketing team; establish processes, goals, and scorecards.
AI Marketing Tools: Evaluate, implement, and leverage modern AI‑powered solutions for targeting, content creation, personalization, and optimization.
Agencies and Partners: Structure, build, and manage relationships with agencies, partners, consultants, and advisors.
Generative Engine Optimization (GEO):Design, test, and implement strategies for optimizing presence in generative AI tools.
Paid Media Marketing: SEM, display, native, video, and streaming campaigns with a focus on efficient CAC and CPA.
Lifecycle Marketing: Architect full‑funnel user journeys from acquisition to activation, retention, and referral using data‑driven segmentation.
Email Marketing: Develop acquisition, onboarding, retention, and re‑engagement sequences; maintain high deliverability and open rates.
Influencer Marketing: Identify, recruit, and manage creator and influencer partnerships; negotiate agreements; track KPIs and ROI.
Affiliate Marketing: Launch and optimize affiliate programs; onboard high‑value partners; manage networks and internal agencies.
Social Media Marketing: Drive organic and paid campaigns across channels (Google, Meta, Instagram, Facebook, X, Reddit, LinkedIn, etc).
Marketing Automation: Design and execute A/B tests, triggered workflows, and dynamic messaging with marketing automation platforms.
Public Relations: Partner with PR agencies; draft press materials; secure coverage in top‑tier tech, consumer, and security outlets.
Ideal Candidate
7+ years of B2C marketing leadership in SaaS, consumer apps, fintech, or consumer‑security and/or consumer-privacy brands.
Proven track record owning full‑funnel performance and brand campaigns across digital channels.
Direct experience managing influencer and affiliate programs, with strong ROI.
Expertise in paid and social advertising platforms (Google, Meta, Instagram, Facebook, X, Reddit, LinkedIn, etc).
Strong background in lifecycle and email marketing using automation tools to drive retention and revenue.
Demonstrated PR experience: media pitching and agency management.
Analytical mindset: proficient in A/B testing, cohort analysis, CAC/LTV modeling, and dashboard reporting.
Hands‑on experience evaluating and deploying AI‑driven marketing solutions (e.g., generative content, predictive targeting).
Excellent leadership and communication skills; comfortable presenting to executives and mentoring teams; bias for action and pragmatism.
Passion for consumer data privacy and security.

Location
While Optery is a fully-remote global team, this position is based in the United States and is required to work regular U.S. business hours, i.e. in the U.S. Eastern, Central, Mountain, and/or Pacific time zones.
